TRAVEL

Air Transportation
We are pleased to offer round-trip coach class travel for you and your guest. Once your registration is complete, it will be sent to event staff for processing within 72 hours. You will be notified via email with a proposed itinerary, based on your selections, for approval. Please respond within the next 48 hours with your approval.

Note: Any costs resulting from flight changes after air travel is ticketed will be at your expense.


Ground Transportation
Ground transportation will be provided between Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and the Montage Palmetto Bluff. The Montage Palmetto Bluff is located about 30-35 minutes from the airport depending on traffic.

When you arrive in the baggage claim area, you will be greeted by our event staff with 2024 President's Club signage, who will provide luggage assistance and escort you to your awaiting vehicle.

Transportation will also be provided for all hosted activities for the duration of the event.

SPORTING CLAYS EXPERIENCE

Sporting Clays Experience
Shooting sports have been a long-standing tradition on Palmetto Bluff for years, if not centuries. The Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club offers an instructional experience to the game of Sporting Clays. Guests will learn to shoot sporting clays from 7 different machines on one 5-Stand with one of our NSCA Certified Shooting Instructors. 

  • Includes 50 rounds of ammunition, clays, gun rental, & instruction. 
  • Great for beginners and expert shooters. 

SKI BOAT ADVENTURE

Enjoy an adventure on the water – water skis, kneeboards, wakeboards or tubing! You decide how you would like to spend your time on the water. Private instruction is included so you can get the fullest enjoyment out of your chosen activity.

GOLF

For the avid golfer, a round of golf at the May River Golf Course is a journey to nirvana.
Take in the majesty of century-old live oaks and serene native landscapes as you linger on the scenic, 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. Woven throughout the May River Forest are 7,171 yards, with several holes on the banks of the river. Plus, enhance your game in the world-class practice facility. Treat yourself to the ultimate golf paradise.

 

MAY RIVER KAYAKING

Experience the beauty of the South Carolina Lowcountry salt marsh estuaries with a close-up view from the seat of a kayak. No experience is necessary for this laid-back excursion. A brief paddling clinic will introduce you to the basics of kayaking and get you comfortable in the boat. Then, depart the Inn's dock on the May River to explore waterways teeming with wildlife. Herons, osprey and other bird life are abundant, and you may have the opportunity to watch our local Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin. The salt marsh is a fascinating ecosystem filled with life. Your guide will discuss the organisms and processes that surround you. This excursion is a relaxed and informative journey that moves at your pace and provides a good introduction to kayaking.

FAQ

When should I arrive and depart?
All guests should plan to arrive at the Montage Palmetto Bluff by 4:00 PM on Monday April 15th, 2024. The Welcome Reception will begin at 6:00 PM. Return travel should be scheduled on Thursday April 18th, 2024. Check out time is 12:00 PM.


Please take this into consideration when booking your travel.


May I pre-extend or post-extend my trip to Savannah?
All extensions will be handled based on space availability, subject to published rates. To request an extension please contact the Event Concierge at dataminrpresidentsclub@helmsbriscoe.com or 972.322.3985.


Attendees will be responsible for any pre or post extension night costs.


What are the procedures for booking air travel?
Within 48 hours of registration, our travel agency, Travel Incorporated, will research out to you with flight options. An email with your proposed itinerary will be sent for your review. We will work directly with you to reserve the flight that works best for your schedule. Once your flight is purchased, any changes resulting in additional fees will be your responsibility.


Am I allowed to bring a guest?
Yes, all attendees are allowed to bring one guest over the age of 21.


What costs are included in the program?
During the program dates of April 15-18, we offer an all-expense paid program including coach-class airfare for you and a guest; all lodging expenses, meals, scheduled activities, and gratuities. You will be provided a cash allowance via your paycheck to pay for any meals not included in the host meals of the event.


For any incidental expenses, not covered exclusively by the program, we kindly advise that you will be responsible for these costs.


What if I have special dietary requirements?
Please note any dietary requirements under the "Register Now" tab when you register, and we will be more than happy to accommodate these requests.


Once I've registered, can I modify my registration?
You will be able to make changes, based on availability, at any time while registration is open. After your registration is completed, you will be responsible for any additional cost/penalties incurred due to changing your airline schedule or extending your hotel stay.


What is the weather like in April?
During the month of April, the average high is in the mid 70s with evening temperatures in the high 60s. 


What should I pack?

Welcome Reception/Dine Around: Resort Casual – jeans, shorts with a t-shirt or polo, sundresses and sandals/flipflops.

Activities/Day: Please plan to dress accordingly for the activity selections you chose during your stay. Hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are always recommended!

Farewell Dinner: Resort Casual – jeans, shorts with a t-shirt or polo, sundresses and sandals/flipflops, please ensure you wear flat shoes as you will be on an uneven surface made of crushed oyster shells.
